WHAT DO I DO IF I WAS ABSENT?
It is your responsibility to get caught up when you are absent. Get in the habit of checking the website within a day or two of your absence. We cover a LOT in this class and move quickly, so I highly suggest staying up on your work!
Because I take the time to update my website after every class period, I expect you to check the website before you come talk to me about makeup work. In other words, do not come to me and ask, "Madame, I was absent yesterday. What did we do?" I will always answer, "Check the website!" Using your resources and being responsible is a life skill, and I want to help you learn that skill.

- If you are absent for a test or quiz, it is your responsibility to quickly let me know when you are planning to make up the test or quiz. Options include before/after school or, with advanced planning and communicating with me, during advisory. You need to have the test/quiz made up within 2 class periods of your absence.
- If you were in class the day an assignment was assigned, but absent on the due date, you need to turn it in the day you get back.
- If you were absent when something is assigned, you have as many days that you missed to turn it in before it is considered late. The sooner you're caught up, the better you'll understand what's going on in class.
- Please remember that all work is due by the day of the Unit Test. You will not be able to take the Unit Test until you've completed the assignments for that unit.
- Unexcused absences result in a deduction in earned points as they are considered late.
